2020 International Symposium on Industrial Electronics and Applications - INDEL 2020
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka
under the co-sponsorship of
IEEE Industry Applications Society
IEEE Industrial Electronics Society
IEEE Power Electronics Society
under the auspices of
Ministry of Scientific and Technology Development,
Higher Education and Information Society
The symposium INDEL 2020 was held virtually, from 4th to 6th November, and all accepted papers were presented using the ZOOM platform. Although our intention was to organize the symposium as traditional “in person” event, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the recommendations from the WHO and local health authorities, INDEL 2020 Program and Organizing Committees decided to move on to the virtual meeting. This decision was approved by all IEEE sponsors (B&H IEEE Section, IEEE Industry Applications Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society and IEEE Industrial Electronics Society).
The symposium attracted about 100 participants worldwide, from both professional and science institutions. On the first day of the symposium, a tutorial “Power Electronics, the Essential Pillar of Technology Revolutions” was held. The tutorial, prepared by professor Petar Grbović, from University of Innsbruck, Austria, attracted the attention of a large number of bachelor students from all state universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The participants of the Symposium were also very interested in the invited lectures: “Collaborative Robotics Is Coming” by Academician Prof. Dr. Dejan B. Popović from University of Belgrade, Serbia, “Overview and Challenges of Software Architecture for Autonomous Driving” by Dr. Stefan Poledna from TTTech Auto, Austria and “Industrial Electronics 4.0: Is It Going to Be Free and Open?” by professor Predrag Pejović from University of Belgrade, Serbia. 29 papers, which were accepted after the review process, were presented during the technical sessions in the continuation of the symposium. All accepted and presented papers were included in the Proceedings.
The Proceedings has been posted to the IEEE Xplore digital library: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/conhome/9266026/proceeding.
The next Symposium, INDEL 2022 will be held in November 2022, hopefully as a traditional, “in person” event.
We are honored to invite all potential participants to join us at INDEL 2022.
